Subject: Speakers fees

After reading the story today about Phi Beta Kappa's decision not to allow GMU to have a chapter, the question has again risen about whether the decision to uninvite Michael Moore was based on politics or money.

One way to prove the university's contention that it was money would be to release publicly all the fees GMU has paid in the five-10 years for outside speakers.  Showing Moore's fees were way out of line would seem to prove GMU's position.

Therefore, I respectfully request that you forward to me a list of all speakers since 1995 and the fees paid to them using state funds.
